Frozen lake at BeiHai Park had tons of people riding little ice carts - fun! You can get going pretty fast on these, but steering is another matter...

It was a cold walk to BeiHai Park in Beijing, but we saw an interesting garden and temple.

Just arrived in Beijing - Jan 05. We felt a bit like aliens from outer space... but it was also cool & amazing just to be there. This is the moat around the Forbidden City.
